ironbci – low-cost wearable 8 channel brain-computer interface for measure EEG and other biodata with dry or wet electrodes, and transmit via wireless in real time to computer or to mobile application.
The next version of the device ironbci that originally was published three years ago in Experimental Brain Research Journal. This device found a wide response among people, but it took time to establish its production at the plant.
The main progress, now data transmition implemented via BLE5. Data can be read in real-time via Python (SDK) or via Mobile Application (SDK) in Android. BLE5 is low-power consumption amd low level of electromagnetic noise, finally BLE5 allowed us receive more clean EEG data.
All software sources avalable in GitHub.
Device soon will be available in the market
Device consist from 3 boards:
1 Board is responsible for power supply. Charge battery and indication level of battery.
2 Board Analog-dijital converter board with analog-dijital converter – ADS1299.
3 Board Data processing and transmition board via STM32 microcontroller.
We used sandwich format becuse it is allow us better separate dijital and analog ground that finally allow us receive more clean EEG siganls.
Device is wearable , very compact with low power consumption and via mobile SDK you can easy implement your applied ideas from neuroscience world. Currently we can measure 8 channels, however 32 channels in the development process.
